Vale Past Player Max Britt and Wayne Slattery (Players Father)
A one minutes silence was observed on 15 January 2022 prior to our game against Vermont in respect of the passing of Max Britt and Wayne Slattery.
Max was a long time player and member of Doncaster Cricket Club. He was a larger than life character around the Club and an excellent cricketer. He will probably be best remembered as the Captain of our last McIntosh Shield grade premiership team in 1972. Again our deepest sympathies go out to the entire Britt family.
Wayne is the father of our current player Zac Slattery and he was a long time member of Templestowe Cricket Club. He was always a pleasure to play against and a good person. Our deepest sympathies go out to Zac and his family.
