JUNIOR GIRLS CRICKET

JUNIOR GIRLS CRICKET 2023-2024

Doncaster Cricket Club has always tried to provide cricket for children (boys and girls) of all ages and ability and as a club we endeavour to give every child an equal opportunity to shine. 

Last year we fielded a junior girl’s team in Stage 2 Girls competition team. This Girls team will be playing Stage 3 this year, this competition is aimed at girls generally in 12-17 year age groups, however it is not based on age, but on skill levels of the girls participating. Generally this is for girls that have been playing for several years. Currently we have 9 players and would love to get 2 or 3 more girls to play.

We plan to get a second girls team up and running probably in Stage 1 cricket which is for beginners, generally from ages 8-12. We currently have 5 girls and would love to get at least 3 more girls or more to join the team.

We want anyone who is interested in having a good time, learning to play and keeping fit to come along and bring all your friends. If you are currently playing in another sporting team bring as many team mates as you want.

The junior girls competition will begin in 11 October 2023 with games being held on Wednesday evening/ night and are all 20/20 games with a time duration of approximately 2 and 1/2 hours. 

Any girl that wants to play in the boys competition is welcome and girls can actually play 2 years out of their age group (i.e. an Under 14 girl can play in Under 12).

We would hope that all girls consider this carefully and want to have some fun and join us..
